Take Us Home

Justin wrote this song sort of off-the-cuff a couple of weeks ago and just now finally agreed to let me post it on my blog! It's a good one and it pretty much illustrates how homesick we are!! Sorry I had to break it into two parts- my camera can only take so much video at once! Here are the lyrics:

It's been a long long time
It's been a long long time
It's been a long long time
It's been a long long time
Put us on a plane, and take us home!
We really miss our moms
We really miss our moms
We really miss our moms
We really miss our moms
Put us on a plane and take us home!
We want a thunderstorm
We want a thunderstorm
We want a thunderstorm
We want a thunderstorm
Put us on a plane and take us home!
We hear they're underwater
We hear they're underwater
We hear they're underwater
We hear they're underwater
Put us on a plane, put us on a boat, put us on a train and bring us home!

Justin Pics

Justin w/ his new backpacker guitar (bday present from me!) talking on the phone to his mom (you'd think he could put the guitar down!) Notice he still had his cast on!

I was taking pics of Kaiya and Justin didn't want to be left out....

Dog Sitting!

We dog sat a few weeks ago for a co-worker of mine (Melanie). Her dog "Kaiya" is a boxer/pit mix. Sooo cute! I have a little experience with boxer's b/c of April's dog Cooper, so it was a lot of fun! By the end of the weekend I was ready for her to go home (she's pretty high-maintenance) but now, looking at the pictures again, I'm wishing she was here to curl up on the couch next to me! Here are some pics of Kaiya.

Much Anticipated...

By at least 3 people anyway. I've been super busy, and, truth-be-told kind of bummed out lately (homesick!) and therefore haven't blogged much. I have some catching up to do and it starts with some old pics. First of all from a hike with our friends James and Marissa. We saw a freaky little lizard- he was RED. Here are some pics of him.

It's been cool getting to know James and Marissa. They really like playing games so we taught them Wahoo and Euchre and they taught us Settlers (not my forte, but Justin liked it- it's a strategy game...too slow for me!) and Speed Scrabble (love it!!). We also recently joined their homegroup! It's been a good summer with the new homegroup so far- we played volleyball yesterday, which I stink at, and which, of course, Justin is awesome at. That's what you call an athlete! :) Here's a couple more pics of the hike and one of James and Justin (funny that they dressed the same...)
